US Contractor Pays €30.9M in Milan Migrant-Labor Case

US contractor Caddell Construction paid around €30.9 million to settle Milan's probe into migrant-labor conditions on the US consulate project. The no-fault deal regularised status for about 500 workers and extended pension benefits to 60 terminated staff, while the criminal inquiry stays open.
