Microsoft exits Nscale's Essex AI campus as grid power slips to 2030s

Microsoft pulled out of anchoring Nscale's planned 50 MW AI campus in Loughton, Essex, which Nscale attributes to grid connectivity. UK Power Networks says the local grid can't deliver the needed power until the early-to-mid 2030s, past the original 2027 target. No replacement tenant has surfaced.
