Citizen Lab ties 45 Al Jazeera infections to ad-delivered spyware

Citizen Lab reported that zero-click spyware reached at least 45 Al Jazeera devices through ordinary ad placements in 2024 and 2025, tied to ad firm Discover-Tech. Google, Beeswax and IAB Europe cut the firm off; how the payload ran code is unresolved.
